  • MY EDUCATION

    Screenwriter, producer, director and college professor with over twenty years of collective professional experience in national theater, feature film work, television and reality TV. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Morehouse College and earned a Master of Fine Arts from New York University’s film school, Tisch School of the Arts.
  • HIGHLIGHTS IN MY CAREER

     • Co-Directed with LisaRaye McCoy the feature film, Skinned, which premiered on TVOne in March 2016. Nominated for Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) as "Best Film by an African Living Abroad.” • Directed and wrote the film shorts, Two Roads (Official Selection for BronzeLens Film Fest) and ReConnect for Nevada Partners & Studio 11 Films. • In 2013, directed and wrote the award winning “Fight For Hope,” a short film for the Georgia Lottery Commission and the Bronze Lens Film Festival. Won 1st Prize. • Wrote and executive produced with “Nephew” Tommy Miles (Steve Harvey Morning Show), a sketch-comedy pilot entitled Alley Cats wherein he directed several of the sketches. • Produced Tom Coles' Medal of Honor Rag, starring Heavy D, directed by Delroy Lindo and executive produced by Will Smith. • Co-produced Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues directed by Penny Marshall. • Served as Production Manager on OWN’s reality show Party at Tiffany’s and TLC’s reality show Mary Mary. • Worked as Production Coordinator on the BET reality shows: The Single, Keyshia Cole the Way It Is (season 3), Brother to Brother, Played by Fame • Wrote and co-produced the film short The Willie Witch Projects (distr. by Trimark Pictures) in the compilation The Bogus Witch Project. • Wrote the musicals TLC, The Chocolate Factory, Pino and Everything Changes. • Wrote and produced A Mother's Prayer and What A Woman Will Do For Love starring Raven Symone, Cherrelle, Ann Nesby, Howard Hewett and Lashun Pace. • Co-wrote feature film Directing Eddie (Valerie Perrine, Jade Barrymore) voted Best Comedy, 2001 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. • Major screenwriting awards and co-producing credit for Notes In A Minor Key (Keith David, Harry Lennix) hailed by the New York Times as "...crisp, assured... tightly constructed and well-acted." • Work included in the book Monologues for Men By Men. • Penned screenplays for Damon Dash, Nia Long, Master P, Erika Alexander, T.I., Heavy D, Nephew Tommy and more.
